The fight against Cancer got a boost from The Napoleon State Bank, as representatives recently contributed $2,500 to the Hospital Foundation of Decatur County in celebration of the bank's 110th anniversary. The funds will be designated for Decatur County Memorial Hospital's Cancer Care unit, reported Bryan Robbins, Director of the Hospital Foundation.
The bank raised the funds through a yearlong community fundraiser: "To celebrate our 110th year in business, we had a large anniversary card constructed and it has been with us at all our community events, as well as on tour at our branches," said marketing coordinator Melea Gault. "The community has been signing the card, and for every signature we received, our bank donated $1 to our local cancer programs. So many of our employees have been impacted by cancer that we wanted to show our local hospitals how much we appreciate all they do."
"This obviously means a lot" shared Robbins, "It's always wonderful when local businesses choose to give back to their community, and the patients of the Cancer Care unit will definitely benefit from the gift. We're happy to help celebrate Napoleon State Bank's 110 years, and are grateful for their commitement to support the health of our neighbors, family and friends."
